In August of 2008, WEM and other Marin clean energy activist groups mobilized to conduct door-to-door canvassing to promote Marin Clean Energy in Novato and San Rafael. The canvassers walked every Saturday for months and collected hundreds of signatures. Marin Clean Energy was approved in San Rafael.
